Study Biomite effects doses in control of Tetranychus urticae) infesting field vegetables crops during spring/ summer seasons in Tehran, Semnan, Kerman Esfahan, and Khorasan provinces

Three doses (1, 1.5 and 2 ppm) of Biomite, a new organic acaricide with effects as anti mite feeding, controlling all mobile stages, male sex attractant, was evaluated on vegetable field crops (musk melon and cucumber) infested by Tetranychus urticae in Khorsan Razavi and Esfahan provinces during 2011-2012. Mite mortality% caused by Biomite doses, compared with recommended doses of Proparjite 570EW., NeemAzal EC, Abamectin 1.8% EC, 1.5cc of fluid soap /liter of water and water sprayed as control treatments on T. urticae infested of the said vegetable corps. Complete block randomized designed with three replications and each replicate consisted of at least 50 cultivated plants in each block were used. Spray timing of those treatments done according observing 5 mobile stages of spider mite under leaf side in 40% of collected leaf sample. Mite mortality% evaluated according random collection of 30 leaves from each treatment at interval period of one day before and 3, 7, 14 days after treatments. Data analysis carried out by SAS method. Mean spider mites before treatments found varied between treatments, host plants and provinces. Max number of mite of 61.6 recorded for dose of 2 ppm of Biomite on mask melon in Khrosan Razavi and max mortality of 65.57% recorded for this treatment up to 14 days of sampling time. The highest mortality% of cucumber spider mite in Esfahan recorded 73.46% after 7 days for 2 ppm of biomite which in comparison to NeemAzal with mild difference effect. Soap spray control measures found with mild difference effects on spider mite population. Lack of phytotoxicity of 2 ppm of biomie application, make organic production of those vegetables infested by mite and integrated mite pest management if applid at initial spider mite incidence.
