Atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration increase is responsible for climatic changes, that, in turn, is much harmful for man, say the scientists. To decline it through industrial development control or other artificial ways is un Justified economically, say mostly opposed governments. Scientifically, plant tissues and soils are capable to store the gas in themselves. This has been seriously considered as a good solution by scientists in recent years. It is called as carbon sequestration. Since, the capability of carbon sequestration is different in diverse conditions of the soils or plant and species, so it is an immediate necessity to find the plant species with more carbon sequestration capability. More knowledge of better ways of conservation, rehabilitation, and exploitation of plants and soils is unavoidable as well. National parks are the valuable places of carbon sequestration due to various plant. Bamoo National Park located north and north-east (52Ί,29΄-56Ί,52΄E and 29Ί,39΄-29Ί,50΄N) of the shiraz city of the Fars province of Iran was selected to assess the role of its soil and its plant in carbon sequestration. The amount of carbon sequestration in the soil and 3plant species, Astragalus gossypinus, Astragalus susianus, and Ebenus stellata. Were measured inside of the park and compared to the outside. The results showed the weight of carbon sequestration of the 3 species were 768.2, 18766, and 2153. 8 kg/ha., respectively. It shows that the plant studied here carbon sequestration of good capability. The mean of the soil carbon was estimated 38250 kg/ha. Statistically. the amount of the carbon sequestration of the soil and plant in side the park were significantly (α=o..1) different, from the out side. The results show a significant role of the park in decrease the carbon dioxide. Therefore, the preservation of The parkland is an avoidable necessity on the edge of the Shiraz city and the industrial centers of zarghan, Marvedasht and Abbarick district trapping the carbon dioxide.
