For obtaining the high yield potantial with high stress tolerance and desirable agronomic characters and Identifying the desirable gens of bread wheat varieties this project \\vas done with 2 experiments as follows: l-EYT(200 1-2002) : 'fhis experiment was done with 25 lines/ varieties of bread wheat received li'om Turkey Cill1ll1yt, Llsing a randomized complete block design with 3 replication in Ardabil region. The results Showed that was Signifacant differences between studid varieties bread wheat lines/ varietil:::s SQ, 8 hight yield potential, diseases resistance and stress tolerant varieties! Lines for evaluating in future experiment were seucted. 2- FA WWON (2000-2003) :This experiment was studied with 143 winter and facultative Bread wheat lines/ varieties that recived from CIMMYT of Turkey using a 11IHcplicated experiment the mcntioned varieties were evaluated. So the 27 winter¬ j~l\\.:ulla'ivc lines/ varieties with high stress tolerance and desirable agronomic ch,mlCIers and producing more grain yield that local check such as Alamoot and M V 17 ,were sekctcd and selected lines/varieties wi II study in advance experiments, 3-\\VWON (1999-2000) :This experiment was done with 113 winter and facultative wheat lines/ varieties tbat recived from CIMMYT of Turkey using a unreplicated experiment.The mcntioned varieties were evaluated and the 45 high stress tolerance and desirable agronomic characters and producing more grain yield than local check sltch as C-73-20, C-73-5, C-75-S and Alvand were selected and sclect\{;'d lincs/varieties will study futhure advance yield Trials. 4- 3rt! WWEERYT (2000-200]) :46 Lines/ varities with 3 local check titally 49 !incs!varities using a equal \\atice d?;,ign .with 2 replication during winter growing winter growing season(Octeber to July)in Ardabil region were evaluated data from tbis experiment were analysed and 10 high yield potential with best agronomic chnraclers and stress tolerant varities were selected
