Water deficiency is one of the most important problems in agriculture of Iran. Therefore introduce and produce varieties with high yield in stress conditions is one of the strategies against drought stress. The aim of this research was evaluation of the effects of drought stress on qualitative and quantitative characters to determinate of the best varieties in Darab region. So, four genotypes of G.hirsutum involve siokra, 818- 312, B-557 and bakhtegan (control) were studied on split plot in complete block design with three replications. Main factor was involved four levels irrigation 70, 100, 130 & 160 mm cumulative evaporation pan from class A and varieties were sub-plot. Studied traits were plant high, long and numbers of monopodial (L.M.B & N.M.B) and sympodial branches (S.B), boll number, boll weight, yield and earliness. Also data of flowering & bolling, leaf area index, water use efficiency (W.U.E) and quality of seed cotton, were compared. Analysis of variation showed that, effects of period of irrigation on plant high, L.M.B, L.S.B, boll weight, and earliness are significant or high significant. Drought of stress because deficient boll-weight, on the other hand variety of bakhtegan have biggest or heaviest of boll. As Yield, first and second irrigated treatments were in one group and 3 & 4th treatments in other group. There was high significant difference between them. Thus drought stress affects on deficiency of seed cotton. The most of yield was in cultivar of 818-312 as much as 3322 kg/h in second irrigation treatment. The most of earliness cultivar was B-557.
