Field evaluation of chickpea population for cold and ascochita blight Tolerance.
2007
Allahyari, Naser
For determining of cold and ascochita blight Tolerance chickpea genotypes that to be useable in winter sown 100 populations of chickpea were evaluated in Ardabil during three years(1999-200 1 ).The experiments were planted in four replications that 2 replication of mentioned experiment were planted in November and 2 others were planted maren in each studied years. Further more, the seeds of genotypes in one replication of each planting data for inhibiting of Ascochita blight disease infection were treated by benomyle. During growth season some characters such as growth habit sown date, maturity, flower color, plant height, number of primary and secondary branches, yield component, grain yield, straw and stubble yield and biomass were measured and recorded. The results showed that the amount of measured characters except straw and stubble yield and plant high through studies years were highly heritable. The population No 7 with producing of 43.33 pods/plant and 32.75 gr 100 seed weight and population no 16 and 9 with producing of 1.683 and 1.682 seeds/pod respectively were more desirable population .Also population no 86 with 5787 and 1687 kg/ha Biomass and straw and stabile yield respectively was more desirable population.
