It is need to study plant materials rom germplasms to know the importance o genetic diversity as a tool o the breeders' work and it plays role in decreasing the dangers o single -cropping agriculture. or this purpose, the study o morphologkal variety o traits o plant materials introduce i'om the international institute o agricultural research in dry and semi-dry regions located in Halab city o Syri,U) was conducted in two pans as ollows; The 'irst part c.on1ainec1 24 winter ~md acultative barley ines. They were planted in yield trial in dry regions with cool winter (lBYT-LRA-C). ac.companied \\vith the. local ch\\?ck. line lvtakoud. The tria:! had 3 replicalionswith RCBD (Randomized Complete Blocks Design) and it had 2 mou.nds (120'" 150 em) including 6 lines (the dist~Ulce between each lines was 20 em). The yie.ld o each plot was vveighed ater harvesting. The analysis o \\lm"iance and ruean o yield among genotypes' revealed that 11 genotypes bad tbe highest yield. The second part was a observation nursery o winter and t~\\cldtative badey in dry regions with cool \\\\;nter (1BON-LR.A-C) tha1 contained 124 line.s accompanied with a local check. They were studies in an observation nursery experiment. The lines were plante.d on two Hnes o 2.5 meters in a mound. inaUy 29 superior genotypes were identiied atlhe station. The imp01iant agronomic traits that were. evaluated or two above experiments during gTowth stage are as ollows (including): Days to heading, plant height., physiological rnaturity, lodging percentage and grain yield
