Evaluation on the eect o dierent eective actors in people participation in eastern Azarbaijan watershed management activities

The correct planning and decision making process in the natural resources ields require having access to accurate and complete inormation. As an example, knowledge and getting inormation regarding actors aecting lack o participation watershed dwellers will provide real and applied scientiic solutions to reclaim and manage watersheds expose to destruction. The goal o the present survey type research is the evaluation o various actors impact on dweller participation in watershed activities as well as causes and obstacles regarding participation. The study was conducted in east Azarbaijan province watersheds which involved in participation subject. To do this research, a list o active villages in watershed activities were prepared and then 30 villages were selected randomly. 2-5 dwellers were selected rom each village randomly. Participation in watershed activities was determined as dependent variable and awareness rate , socio-economic status , dependency to government and village economic status were the most important independent variables that used in the analyze process. Data were collected through personal interview techniques and questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS package and the results showed that conidence to project executers, providing opportunity to attend in sessions and decision making process relevant to watersheds, access to well deined economic status, hope to projects uture and being beneiciary were the most important actors aecting dwellers participation in watersheds activities. As well as, it was ound that social knowledge and welare status have no signiicant aect on participation rate in watershed activities.
