The objective of the present study was to test effect of physical forms of feed (Mash and Complete feed block) on fattening Montbeliarde calves performance. For this expriment, 23 male Montbeliarde calves were distributed to two rationtreatments (Mash and Complete feed block) and four weghit blocks according to RCBD experimental design during 5 months exprimented period. The calves were received ad libitum diet and during conducting of experiment, feed consumption, daily and monthly gain, feed efficiency were recorded and calculated. The average initial weight of animals in starting point of experiment were 322.75 8.55 and 361.42 15.18 and at the finished of experiment were 490.41 7.97 and 570.58 13.88 kg for nutritional treatment of ratio 1 and 2 respectively. On the basis of this experimentComplete feed block ratio significantly influences live body weight of animals. In overall, growth and total body gain of animals for nutritional treatment of ratio 1 and 2 were 165.37 1.78 and 211.46 4.63 Which means 46kg higher weigh in Complete feed block ratio treatment in compare to TMR (p0.01). The Average daily gain of calves received TMR ratio during 1 and 5 month of experiment were1551.72 74.25 and 1350.57 30.85, in compare Complete feed block ratio 1189.74 12.78 and 1448.28 32.60The mean of daily feed consumption of animals in TMR and Complete feed blockration were 1479.88 38.07 and 1521.29 33.33 respectively, however significant effect on average daily feed consumption were observed between two treatment (p0.01). Feed Conversion Ratio for treatment 1 and 2 during whole fattening period were 9.92 0.04 and 11.39 0.11 respectively, which showed significant difference between TMR and Complete feed block ration. In conclusion, Complete feed block form of diet seems shows higher feed consumption and feed efficiency than TMR ration and consequenctly will decrease cost of labor and losing of residual feeds in farms.
