Comparison of the effect of different nitrogen sources on the yield of corn.

In order to compare the available nitrogen sources and determin the best on form the point of nitrogen up-take capacity and the optimum level for highest yield, a factorial experiment design in complete randomized blocks, with 5 different nitrogen sources and 3 nitrogen rate in 3 replications was conduct at the SARC trial farm for two years 1375 and 1376. Fertility treatments. Nitrogen sources 1-Commecial Urea 2-SCU (Home made) 3-SCU (imported) 4-Amonium Nitrate 5-Amonium Sulfat Nitrogen level N1=187 kg/ha N2=250 kg/ha N3=312 kg/ha. The 2 years results showed: 1-for nitrogen sources there was: a- significant difference at %1 level in grain yield. b- significant difference at %5 level in protein content. 2- for nitrogen level there was: a-non significant difference in yield. b-significant difference at %1 level in protein content. 3-the treatment of imported (SCU) with 312 kg/ha. net nitrogen had the highest grain yield of 6760 kg/ha. with the highest protein of %9.1.
