In order to choose a suitable fruit paper bag for ¡®Noksu¡¯ pear, which is early matured with green skin color, among three kinds of commercial paper bags¡¤double layered white paper bag (WPB), double layered yellow paper bag (YPB) and double layered grey paper bag (GPB) with the black colored inside of outer layer and blue color of inner layer¡¤having different light transmittance ratio (LTR), fruit traits including green color expression were evaluated according to picking days. As 42.2% LTR of WPB showed much higher than YPB(36.2% LTR) and GPB (0.7%, LTR), WPB induced strong green coloration of ¡®Noksu¡¯ fruit. Compared to WPB, GPB and YPB stimulated chlorophyll degradation and their colors became yellowish-green and yellow, respectively. Among reducing sugars, sucrose content of ¡®Noksu¡¯ fruit had been increased from 129th to 132th days after full bloom (DAFB). Whereas sorbitol content was slowly decreased during same period. Fruit characteristics of weight, hardness, sugar contents, and titratable acidity were not significantly different between each paper bag.
