The significant changes of the regional climate account for differentiated productivity of farm crops, including winter wheat. The studies on the climate and winter wheat productivity performed on the basis of the centenary observation data indicate that the most significant yields were produced in the years 1970 to 1990 in the conditions of a stable climate when the agrotechnical cultivation standards were followed. An essential variability in the yields (35.6 M.C./ha) has been recorded during the last two decades; thus, in 1993, the yields of winter wheat made 42.4 M.C./ha, while in 2003, that is considered one of the most unfavorable for the crop, it was as low as 6.8 M.C./ha. The findings will serve a basis in the studies on the impact of the changing climate on the producing capacity of cereal crops in the nearest future.
