The role of water and exogenous phytohormones IAA, CK and GB3 in the maintenance of the functional integrity of the plants exposed to the impact of drought has been studied in green house experiments. It has been demonstrated that decline in the internal water homeostasis as a consequence of inhibition of water and phytohormone transport is the main cause of deregulation of plant functional integrity under drought conditions. Differences in the degree of change in the parameters of the water status of plant organs have been established, flowers and roots being especially affected. Administration of exogenous phytohormones contributes to stabilizing relations between organs through optimization of water status, but does not eliminate the effect of drought completely.
