From 17 March until 15 April 1962 at Cairo, FAO organized in collaboration with the Government of the United Arab Republic, a regional training on agricultural planning. the lecture courses, delivered during this meeting are published in this study. the workshop topics were dealing with : agriculture and economic development; planning agricultural development; general methodology of planning; the pattern of investment in agriculture; demand analysis and target setting in agriculture; organizational and related requirements for agricultural planning; measures for the implementation of agricultural plans; examples of agricultural plans and projects
