In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented research results on the influence the number of stems tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) plants on yield and biochemical composition of fruits in the cultivation of hybrids of the intensive type Raissa F1 and Starbuck F1 in greenhouse by hydroponics technology using mineral wool. Comparative evaluation of methods of plant forming showed that when growing tomatoes in two stems with one additional sprouting per inflorescence in the winter glazed greenhouses using mineral wool there was a possibility of obtaining additional 48-54 pcs. of tomato fruits per plant, with an average weight of fruit Raissa F1 - 101 grams and Starbuck F1-138 grams. Recommended method of forming tomato plants in the two stems with one additional sprouting per inflorescence contributed to higher yields of F1 hybrids Raissa and F1 Starbuck, respectively by 6.5 and 6.2 kg/m2, or 18 and 16%, the amount of ascorbic acid increased by 0.1 0.2 mg%, the nitrate content has decreased by 7.4 mg / kg compared with the formation of plant in one stem. Merchantability level was 97 and 99%.
