Antonik, M.I., Belarus State Technological Univ., Minsk (Belarus)
In course of the research there were studied sod-podzolic and brown forest soils of oak-woods in Belovezhskaya Pushcha (Belarus) in the granulometric composition, water-physical, microbiological, chemical and biochemical index. As a result of realized research it was revealed that the oak groves in the conditions of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha grew on various granulometric structures, water-physical, chemical and microbiological properties of sod-podzolic and brown forest soils. Depending on type and granulometric structure of soils the density of a firm phase fluctuated from 2.35 to 2.87 g/cube cm; size of the maximum hygroscopicity - from 0.18 to 1.42%; a stock of productive moisture (counting on a 1.5 m layer of soil) - from 118 to 243 mm. The content of organic carbon in soils of oak groves of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha made 20.85-36.95%, total phosphorus – 0.07-0.12%, the general nitrogen in forest laying – 1.27-1.70% at рНКСl 3.12-4.86. Potential proteolytic activity in soils of oak groves changed within 100-300 mg thyrozin for 18 h on 1 cube cm, phosphatic activity - 25-75 mg Р for 24 h on 1 cube cm, invertase activity - 700-2700 g glucose for 4 h on 1 cube cm, potential catalase activity - 100-400 cube cm 02 for 2 min. on 1 cube cm. The best water-physical, chemical and microbiological indicators characterized the top horizons of investigated soils, in illuvial and spreading horizons some deterioration of investigated properties was noted.
