Hematological parameters appear the most important indicators of pathological processes in any live organisms; blood reactions on the changes of functional status of a single species in response to any influence may be used in selection practice as a diagnostic method for the creation of high-productive breeding stock. The article presents the research of hematological parameters of heterosexual species of Lena sturgeon reflecting differences and similarities of the both sexes for the development of high-production breeding stocks of sturgeon fishes. Hematological parameters of the male and female species of Lena sturgeon grown under the conditions of the warm-site area of the Novolukoml fish farm in the Vitebsk region and the Selets research fish farm in the Brest region are studied. The studies indicate that there is a pronounced sexual dimorphism in some hematological characteristics, such as hemoglobin and erythrocytes content. Higher values of these parameters are revealed in the blood of male species if compared with female ones.
