Four Gambiaca cytoplasmic male sterile lines were use on research of sucrose influence to callus induction through anther culture. The research aimed to observe the sucrose effect 10 callus induction of cytoplasmic male sterile lines of rice and to achieve the optimum sucrose concentration of callus induction on anther culture. Randomized completely design with five replications was use in this research. The treatments were consists of three sucrose concentration added to N6P media. The observation showed that the morphologies character of rice flowers to explants including white flower to yellowish on color, the length of anthers were less than half of spikelet, compact and it is on uninucleat phase. The sucrose concentration addition had positive correlation to callus number and the callus induction times. However, callus number and the times of callus induction were genotype dependent. The sucrose concentration of GDH 13 and GDH 19 were 60 g/l, while GDH 15 and GDH 25 were 75 g/l. However, GDH 25 was the genotype which had the best response to callus induction with the growth callus average was 7.4 calluses.
