Neonectria canker or Apple canker is present in many temperate zone fruit production regions worldwide, but importance of disease differs depending on cultivar susceptibility, age of orchard, and presence of inoculum. Economic importance of Apple canker is not clearly defined in Latvia, but outbreaks of disease could be found in different orchards. During this study Apple canker prediction model within interactive decision support system RIMpro was evaluated. Coincidence of predicted infection risk, presence of fruiting bodies, for situation in Latvian climate conditions in orchard at Pure was high in autumn 2014, as well as in spring 2015. In autumn 2014 and spring 2015, fruiting bodies and ascospores of N. ditissima found in periods, when predicted by RIMpro. Conidia observed during summer, mainly in July, when weather conditions were favourable to disease.
