The article presents the results of a study on the role of phytochromes and cryptochromes in the regulation of in vitro callusogenesis and morphogenesis in plants differing in photoperiodic sensitivity (PPS) and development rate and type. Callus cultures of the isogenic lines of wheat, short-day soybean lines, tomato varieties contrasting in early ripening, and oilseed rape varieties differing in the development type were used as objects. The experiments revealed effect of irradiation with red (RL 660 nm) and blue (BL 450 nm) light on growth reactions, color, processes of callus formation, rhizo- and gemmogenesis. A prolonged BL effect has been shown to stimulate the expression of various types of morphogenesis in vitro to a greater extent compared with the RL action. The data suggest that the photomorphogenesis reaction of an interchangeable in vitro callus culture depends on the PPS, the development type and pace of in vivo initial plant organisms.
