AGROPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SOILS OF AGRICULTURAL LANDSCAPES OF THE SOUTHERN ZONE OF ULYANOVSK REGION

Agroecological assessment of soil lands of the southern zone of the Ulyanovsk region under different anthropogenic load was carried out. The object of research was the southern area of the Ulyanovsk region, on the territory of which the soil transects (at 3 local sites with similar soil differences: virgin land, fallow (20 years), arable land in treatment) were laid. The research was carried out in 2012...2014 on the lots, which were selected taking into account the type of soil, the history of land use, intensity and character of the use of various melioration measures, chemicals, the level of anthropogenic load, etc. In the period of the study more than 25 major soil profiles were performed and more than 150 soil samples were analyzed. Studies have shown a high incidence of reliable androgenic consolidation of arable and subsurface soil horizons with respect to the reference objects. The number of agronomically valuable aggregates in air-dry fractionation on the land ranged from 72,2 % to 75,4 % with the clods in layer 0...30 cm from 14,7% to 17,4 %. On fallow lands, the figure is from 82.6% to 84.1%, and in the virgin land – 88.3%. The content of water-stable aggregates in virgin soil is about 75%, on fallow plots – 65% ...69%, at the plow – 59% ... 62%. These indicators do not exceed the permissible limit, however, you should pay attention to significant differences between arable and virgin soils. The obtained data will allow to complete information about the soil fertility of agricultural land.
