Structure and volume of lying coarse woody debris in a primeval part of the National Nature Reserve Komárnická jedlina

Incidence and selected characteristics of lying coarse woody debris in the National Nature Reserve Komarnicka jedlina was evaluated. The research was carried out on the area of 1 ha at 5 plots. The volume of the woody debris was detected in amount of 309.14 m3. ha–1of 375 rated parts of the debris in each of decay classes. The highest share of the woody debris was identified in the third decay class (38.34%) from the six evaluated classes. Our results are similar in comparison with natural forests of a comparable character and tree composition.
