From the coffee-cocoa combination to oil palm cycles: the case of Dabou and Aboisso in Côte d'Ivoire
2015
Sayam V.T. | Cheyns E.
Even though mineral oil is starting to make an impact on its economy, Côte d'Ivoire is still heavily dependent on agriculture, especially on cocoa. More than 600,000 family farms produce cocoa and provide employment to several million of the country's population. The country is the world's largest cocoa producer, accounting for almost 40 % of the global supply. (Résumé d'auteur)
