إنجليزي. Pears (Pyrus communis L.) is the second most common genus of pome fruits in Latvian orchards with total growing area in 2008 around 200 ha, including about 100 ha of commercial plantations. Pear yields and fruit quality is affected by several significant diseases - pear scab, fruit tree canker, brown rot and others. The hypothesis of the study: Several species of Gymnosporangium occur in Latvia. The development cycle of European pear rust agent is dependent on agro-ecological conditions and pear genotype. The aim of the research was to clarify impact of agro-ecological factors on Gymnosporangium sabinae (Dicks.) G. Winter biology, European pear rust epidemiology and possibilities of application of integrated pest management for disease control. The tasks of the study: to identify species of Gymnosporangium occurring in Latvia on junipers and pears; to clarify agro-ecological conditions affecting development cycle of the Gymnosporangium sabinae, it's occurrence and severity; to assess disease severity depending on the pear genotype; to develop European pear rust control recommendations for integrated pest management system. The novelty of the research: for the first time were identified Gymnosporangium species, which cause European pear rust, were identified and their distribution in Latvia determined; peculiarities of the European pear rust development cycle were studied; European pear rust development cycle were studied; European pear rust disease index depending on the genotype of pears was evaluated. Studies were conducted at the Institute of Horticulture from 2008 to 2015. Plant material was collected throughout territory of Latvia, inspecting 762 junipers, as well as pears and mountain ashes from 53 sites of Latvia.

لاتفيا. Bumbieres (Pyrus communis L.) ir otrā izplatītākā sēkleņkoku ģints Latvijas dārzos un to kopējā stādījumu platība Latvijā ir ap 200 ha, tai skaitā ap 100 ha komerciālie stādījumi. Bumbieru ražu un tās kvalitāti ietekmē slimības, kas nozīmīgas bumbierēm - bumbieru kraupis, lapu koku stumbru un zaru vēzis, parastā augļu puve un citas. Arvien biežāk sastopama bumbieru - kadiķu rūsa, kuru ierosina patogēnā sēne Gymnosporangium sabinae (Dicks.) G. Winter. Pētījumu hipotēze: Latvijā ir sastopamas vairākas Gymnosporangium sugas. Bumbieru - kadiķu rūsas ierosinātāja attīstības cikls ir atkarīgs no agroekoloģiskajiem apstākļiem un bumbieru genotipa. Pētījumu mērķis bija noskaidrot agroekoloģisko faktoru ietekmi uz Gymnosporangium sabinae (Dicks.) G. Winter bioloģiju, bumbieru-kadiķu rūsas epidemioloģiju un integrētās augu aizsardzības iespēju pielietojumu patogēna ierobežošanā. Pētījumu uzdevumi: noteikt Latvijā sastopamās Gymnosporangium sugas uz kadiķiem un bumbierēm; noskaidrot agroekoloģisko apstākļu ietekmi uz Gymnosporangium sabinae attīstības ciklu, izplatību un attīstības pakāpi; novērtēt bojājuma pakāpi atkarībā no bumbieru genotipa; izstrādāt rekomendācijas bumbieru - kadiķu rūsas ierobežošanai atbilstoši integrētās augu aizsardzības sistēmai. Pētījuma novitāte: pirmo reizi Gymnosporangium identificētas sugas, kuras ierosina bumbieru-kadiķu rūsu un to izplatību Latvijā; izpētītas bumbieru-kadiķu rūsas ierosinātāja attīstības cikla īpatnības; izvērtēta bumbieru-kadiķu rūsas bojājumu pakāpe atkarībā no bumbieru genotipa. Pētījumi veikti laika posmā no 2008. gada līdz 2015. gadam. Lai noteiktu Latvijā sastopamās Gymnosporangium sugas uz kadiķiem un bumbierēm, apsekotas kadiķu audžu vietas un bumbieru stādījumi, aptverot visu Latvijas teritoriju.
