Corn is one of the most important cereals cultivated in the world, with no tillage system being the more growing planting method, using special seeder with the purpose of maintaining or increasing the contente of organic matter, and are capable of improving the physical, chemical and biological qualities of the soil. The objective of this work to implement and evaluate the development and productivity of corn intercropped with jack bean for implantation of the no tillage system in the region of Cariri Cearense, in Assaré-CE. The experimente was carried out in a randomized block, design in a 3x2 factorial scheme, with four replications, totaling 24 observations. The first fator were three foundation fertilizer levels (0, 100 and 150%, these percentages being relative to the recommended dose), and the second fator is related to liming (with and without lime). The results allowed to conclude that the addition of mineral fertilizer from the ideal dose, increased the rates of development and productivity of the maize crop, with the liming showing no significant response due to the high initial saturation value of the soil.
