2018
Sabourin, Eric (ed.) | Grisa, Catia (ed.)
This book deals on diffusion mechanisms of Brazilian public policies for family farming towards other countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. It presents the main results of TRANSBRASIL project (realized by scholars from the universities of Brasilia, Sao Paulo, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Cirad and funded by CNPq of Brazil) in six Latin American and Caribbean countries (Argentina, Colombia, El Salvador, Haiti, Paraguay & Uruguay). The research has characterized, analyzed and compared modalities and vectors of the regional dissemination and local adaptation in the receptors countries of these Brazilian “models”. The results have confirmed processes of hybridization and imbrication between different modalities of policy internationalization: circulation of norms and models through international agencies, policy transfer with South South Cooperation, regional integration, including bottom up integration by social movements.
