The aim of the study was to analyse an average forelimb and hind limb scores of Latvian warmblood horse breed draft type stallions’ progenies and compare with scores of the sires, and detect characteristic traits of progenies of each stallion. The data included progenies (n=176) of 14 actual sires. The average scores varied from 6.45 to 7.50 for forelimbs and 6.4 to 7.67 for hind limbs. The average scores of progenies in some cases were lower than scores of the sire. It is not possible to estimate the quality of limbs basing on scores of forelimbs and hind limbs, because the scoring in ten point scale includes many parameters (conformation faults, preferably traits), the valuation is subjective due to different horse valuating experts. The evaluation form, worked out in 2010, defines a recording of every conformation trait and similar description of conformation can be obtained using linear profiling. There was a range of expressions of forelimb and hind limb traits transformed in linear profile to detect most characteristic traits of progenies of each stallion.
