The workshop takes place every 3 years and aims to bring together the latest advances in research of pome fruit diseases, to provide an opportunity for exchange of information and ideas and to stimulate common research and collaboration. Workshop topics: 1) Control methods (biocontrol, chemical, alternative, physical, sanitation); 2) Postharvest diseases; 3) Bacterial diseases of apple and pear; 4) Host-plant resistance and biodiversity; 5) Biology and epidemiology of apple and pear diseases; 6) Monitoring and forecasting infection risks; 7) Canker diseases of apple and pear; 8) Diagnostic tools in pome fruit pathology.
