The present experiment was conducted to check the effect of different levels of beta-manganese on growth, nutrient digestibility and carcass characteristics in broilers. This research trial was conducted at Raja Muhammad Akram, Animal Nutrition Research Center, University of Agriculture Faisalabad. One hundred and fifty (150) day-old broiler chicks were randomly divided into fifteen replicates having ten birds/ replicate. Five iso-nitrogenous (CP= 19.75%) experimental diets i.e. PC, NC, T1, T2 and T3 were formulated. Positive control (PC) contained 2900 Kcal/kg metabolizable energy without supplementation of enzyme. Negative control (NC) had 2800 Kcal/kg energy without enzyme supplementation. Diets T1, T 2 and T3 had 2800 Kcal/kg metabolizable energy and were supplemented with beta-manganese (Cibenza DE 200) @ 0.02%, 0.04% and 0.06% of feed respectively, each experimental diet was randomly allotted to three replicates. Data on feed intake, body weight and mortality were recorded weekly. Nutrient digestibility was determined by using an external marker i.e. acid insoluble ash (Celite). Fecal samples were collected on day 33rd and 34th and composited. At the end of day 35, two birds from each replicate were slaughtered to determine the carcass characteristics and organ weights. Data collected were subjected to statistical analysis using Analysis of variance Technique under Completely Randomized Design with the help of SPSS software. Treatment means were compared by Duncan's multiple-range test. The results of this study showed that supplement of beta-manganese non-significant effect on feed intake, ether extract digestibility and carcass characteristics but significant effect on weight gain, feed conversion ratio crude protein digestibility and crude fiber digestibility of the broilers.
