Hussain, J.
The recent plan for research was aimed to evaluate the impact of replacement of fish meal with com gluten supplemented with phytase and citric acid (organic acid) on growth and nutrient digestibility of Labeo rohita. The experiment was carried out in lab, four treatments of experimental diets D1, D2, D3 and D4 were prepared by replacing of fish meal with com gluten meal which was supplemented by 1000 FTU per kilogram phytase. The fish was fed @ of three percent of the body weight daily. The aeration was provided to each experimental tank. 1% chromic oxide as a non-digestible marker was added in diet. The feed and feces samples were analyzed to estimate the dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, gross energy and minerals. The maximum weight gain and nutrient digestibility on diet-3 was significantly greater in lab trial revealed that the supplementation of phytase at level of 1000 FTU had effectively increase the availability of nutrient of plant based ingredient. The finding reveals that replacement of fish meal with corn gluten meal which was viable to 30% inclusion level of corn gluten whereas the inclusion level of corn gluten in diets 2 had affected the growth and nutrient digestibility of Labeo rohita because of non-digestible saccharides and fibers in corn gluten.
