in the standard field experiments on leached black soils, maize productivity in crop rotation and monoculture was studied with long-term fertilization. In agro-ecological conditions of the Central Chernozem region, corn is able to withstand long-term cultivation in monoculture. The high efficiency of fertilizers was achieved in the variant N60P60K60, where the average annual productivity of the green mass, dry matter and corn grain exceeded the control in the crop rotation by 33.6%, 39.4% and 37.7%, in monoculture by 45.7%, 48.0% and 47.0% with a yield of 26.2, 6.42 and 3.42 tons / ha in the crop rotation on an unfertilized background 22.10, 5.65 and 2.81 tons / ha in monoculture. The increase in crop yield due to the rotation factor on average for five rotations of a tenyear rotation on the variants of the experiment was in the range 2.4-5.4 tons / ha of green mass, 0.3-1.2 dry matter and 0.5-0.7 tons / ha of grain. The reserves of organic carbon in black soil on the options of the experiment in 0-80 cm soil layer was preserved at a very high level from 270 to 287 tons / ha, with its stockpiling before the experience in 1965 – 237 tons / ha, which indicates a high stability of the organic matter of this soil. Identification of maize phytolites in the profile of black soil was carried out.
