The research on morphological characters of Neofabraea spp. fungi was carried out in the Unit of Plant Pathology and Entomology, Institute of Horticulture in 2016–2018. Isolates of the genus Neofabraea, after grouping into morphological groups, overlapped within the same species, but isolates that vary within one species were possible to divide into different criteria groups. Based on morphological characterization of the fungal isolates obtained from damaged fruits with bull’s eye rot symptoms, it was concluded that fruit rot in the studied storages is caused by N. perennans and N. alba; however, most of the isolates were morphologically indistinguishable and varied between N. alba, N. perennans and N. malicorticis, therefore further molecular identification is required.
