The role of parental factor in manifestation of quantitative traits in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

It was established that hybridization components influence the binding of grains in the simple crosses and back-crossings. The multiple regression analysis determined that the number of grains per spike and the weight of one grain had the largest contribution to the formation of the grain mass per spike, and the maternal and paternal genitor significantly influences the contribution of these sub-components to the productivity of the spike - the mass of the grains per spike. The maternal parent has a decisive role for the weight of the grain. The combinations in the study varied in terms of the contribution of parental forms to the number of grains and grain mass per spike, but in the particular combinations the decisive parent for both characters was common. By calculating the degree of dominance at F1 hybrids, the degree and frequency of transgressions in the F2 segregation populations, it was found that the parental factor influences the level and capacity of hereditary transmission, but and the rate of obtaining valuable segregans.
