The aim of this study was to determine whether the speed of development of Indianmeal moth Plodia interpunctella depends on the living space size, the quantity of available food and the impact of harassment. The experiment was conducted as a randomized block system 2x3. In total of 18 jars, containing 50 mL of yellow corn flour each, we placed 10 (T1), 20 (T2) or 50 (T3) eggs of P. interpunctella, in six replicates. All jars were divided into two blocks, depending on whether the larvae were not (Block I) or were (Block II) harassed by disturbing substrate. The results showed that amount of food and the living space size influenced on the speed of Plodia interpunctella development, as well as dynamics of development and eclosion.
