A local, authentic and unique gastronomy is an important resource for attracting tourists. Therefore, the subject of the research was to examine the linkage between locally produced agricultural products and hospitality sector. In the first phase of the research, focus was on examples of good practice in the world. The central task was to examine the situation of the mentioned topics in Serbia. Srem District was taken as a case study. Through the questionnaire, the views of local caterers in Srem were examined regarding the key factors influencing them to select or not local agricultural products for their own needs and qualify them to consumers. In addition to the historical method, descriptive statistics were used (SPSS 17). The results of the research give an insight into different examples of cross-sectoral linking of hospitality and local agricultural producers, as well as the views of caterers regarding the use of domestic products in the tourism market.
