Creation of nir calibration for ADF analysis in grain corn
2017
Gümüştaş, Ö.
This research was conducted for the purpose of establishing NIR calibrations at the determination of the level of Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF) on 320 corn samples collected from seven different regions where corn agriculture was intensively made for the first time in Turkey. 320 corn samples collected were first grind and then spectra were collected separately from each other. Calibration studies were carried out by reference analysis of the corn samples with chemometric (wet chemical) method. In the study, the first derivative gap 2 (SNV) and the multiplicative scatter correction (MSC) were applied as the spectral approach. PLS was also used as a regression analysis method in the study. Calibration set generated is R = 0.5544; R2 = 0.3074 Standard Deviation = 0.6256, R = 0.4489 from the validation set; R2 = 0.2015 Standard Deviation = 0.5623 values were obtained. While the calibration interval was 1,074, the validation interval was set at 1,577.As a result; The number of samples studied in this study was not sufficient for a reliable and accurate calibration in this survey where calibration is being developed with regard to the ADF content of grain corn collected from 7 different regions of Turkey where corn agriculture is intensively cultivated. This means that there is a need for more extensive and more sample work.
