In this study, temporal changes in forest areas has been carried out by means of using forest management planning data from 1989, 2000 and 2013 of Konak forest planning unit under the Konak Forest District of Denizli Regional Forest Directorate.Data on Forest Management Plan of 1989 was tried to, get transferred to GIS (Geographic Information System) using the ArcGIS program. But the process failed. The Forest Management Plan of 2000 and 2013 is prepared in digital format in GIS. In this way, the spatial database has been tried to be compared with data, tables and graphs for the two rounds prepared. The purpose of this research; the temporal change in the forest ecosystem, using the plans of 1989, 2000 and 2013 years, is revealed in terms of area, volume and increment. In the study, it was determined that although the Konak Planning Unit forests were operated for 1989 and 2000 plans only for economic purposes, the 2013 plan was passed to functional planning and operated as 12 classes. Productive forest areas increased from 1989 to 2013; while the non-forest areas increased again after showing a small decrease first. This has led to an increase in forests volume and yield. As a result of the increase of forest areas and the share; it was determined that the carbon storage capacity also increased.
