This trial was conducted with the intention of a necessity to increase the Ca content of the plant by fertilizing with different nitrogen source after growing the tomato seedlings in different doses of calcium nutrient media, to try to reduce the number of blossom-end rot (BER) as much as possible and to follow the change of other properties belonging to the plant. The trial has two stages; At the first stage Rio Grande tomato variety seed of 5 g / m2 was planted to the peat setting applied with four doses of calcium originating from calcium sulfate (0, 100, 200 and 300 g Ca / m 2) on March 23, 2016. The seedlings were astonished to the pots after 4-5 true leaves became available on May 17, 2016.In the second phase of the experiment, the soil brought from Çanakkale Yenice Aşağıkaraaşık village cemetery site which is seen as a growing environment of blossom-end rot (BER) was used. Triple super phosphate and potassium sulphate fertilizers were used according to the analysis with calcium ammonium nitrate as a precaution for blossom-end rot (BER) as soil fertilization. Half of the ammonium nitrate, calcium nitrate and urea fertilizers as the base fertilization were applied before the half-flowering period and the other half were applied after the first bushes, so that they contained were equal the nitrogen doses. The fruit harvest began on July 15, 2016 and ended on October 5, 2016.The time between the start of the first blooming of the flower and the beginning of the blooming and the beginning of the formation of the fruit (days), the time between the formation of the fruit and the start of the first harvest (days), the harvest time (days), Fruit weight (g), Fruit diameter (cm), height / diameter and plant height (cm), Fruit circumference (cm), Fruit size (cm), Fruit weight (g) (P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn, B) of the tomato plants with Calcium sulphate were investigated after the harvest. As a result; It was determined that, when soil fertilization was done according to soil analysis results and preference of ammonium nitrate fertilizer in top fertilization was beneficial for the peat which 100 g / m2 Ca from CaSO4 was added in seedling stage in tomato cultivation.Furthermore, if there is calcium deficiency in tomato fields; The addition of 100 g / m2 of Ca to the environment where the seedling is growing is against the likelihood of occurrence of flower bud decay. Also adding calcium ammonium nitrate fertilizer to support the amount of calcium during the base fertilization which has been carried out in accordance with soil analysis results and the addition of nitrogen fertilizer to the top fertilizer has been achieved as favorable and needed.
