Experimental data have been obtained on the argumentation of the concept by existence to Glycine max L. (Merr) and Zea mays L. plants of the stress-memory at the repeated drought. Plants, which have suffered moderate drought at the initial stages of ontogenesis, show increased tolerance to the repeated occurrence of the drought in the critical period. The involvement of protective systems from the reactive oxygen species in the stress-memory formation of plants at the repeated occurrence of drought conditions has been demonstrated. The formation of stress memory depends on the constitutive resistance of the plants: plants with a higher resistance potential, in particular with a higher constitutive tolerance, more easily adapt to the repeated water stress. 36 references, 2 tables.
