This paper presents new data regarding the amino acid content in the soil. It was established thatthe summary content of free and linked amino acids makes up 1,3750 and 4,100 mkM/100 mg of soil. The spectrumof biomolecules consists of 18 amino acids dominated by aspartic acid (11,60 – 31,82), glutamic acid (10,73 –23,45%), alanine (7,10 – 13,83%), leucine (3,44 - 15, 91%) and glycine (6.54 to 14.83%). Among the permanentlypresented amino acids, only the tryptophan was not identified in the studied soil. Also, it was remarked a highcorrelation between the amino acid content and the content of organic substances in the soil.
