The level of germanium (IV) accumulation and the changes induced in the productivity of the cyanobacteria Spirulina platensis cultivated on a medium with the addition of organic and inorganic compounds of this element were studied. Germanium compounds were added to the growth medium of spirulina on the first day of cultivation, in three concentrations: 10, 20 and 30 mg/l. It has been established that the accumulation of germanium by cyanobacterial cells depends on the administered concentration of the compound. The maximum level of germanium accumulation (75,7 mg%) was determined using GeSe2 at a concentration of 30 mg/l. The addition with some of the studied compounds of germanium (IV) led to a decrease in productivity, compared to the control. The compounds GeSe2, MesGe(F)PHMes and ArP=C(Cl) Ge(F)-(Tip)t-Bu stimulated productivity by 25,4%; 11,1% and 8,9%, compared to the control. 28 references, 1 figure, 1table.
