Individual production on farms cannot meet the market demand for quantity, quality and continuity, and in most cases it is economically uncompetitive. One way of better and more efficient organization of agricultural production is associations of producers in different forms, as well as cooperatives managed by the producers. Local initiative and organizing of farmers contributes much to the development of rural areas. In the paper are analyzed demographic conditions and agricultural holdings which at the same time developmental and limiting factors in rural areas. The aim of the paper is to explain forms of association of agricultural producers, give the advantages of organized production on the market oriented associating.
