Assessment of the cattle exterior of the Hereford breed and its use in breeding | Оценка экстерьера скота герефордской породы и использование ее в селекции

إنجليزي. Presented are data on the study of the exterior of cattle of Hereford breed in the conditions of the Northern Trans-Urals. Measurements were conducted at one of the farms in the Tyumen region. The obtained results were compared with the recommendations given in the Procedure for Testing for distinguishability, uniformity and stability of cattle. There has been revealed a good development of animals in height, but insufficient body length and poor development of the chest part of the body. The rear part of the body of the animal is also developed insufficiently. Animals compared with the recommended parameters are high-legged, not sufficiently stretched, have not deep and not very wide chest. The chest girth is also lower than the recommended parameters, the backside is underdeveloped. In the future, bulls of tall type with specified exterior parameters should further be acquired. This will contribute to the formation of a herd with high productivity, since the exterior parameters are related to the meat productivity of animals. Selecting animals of the desired type it is possible to eliminate the identified deficiencies in animals of the analyzed herd. In order to make a comparison of the indicators of body weight and measurements in animals of different intrabreed types, the cows were divided into three body types. It is established that to the size of body weight of cows of the 1-st lactation differences between animals of different body types is observed. Cows, referred to the 1-st type of body size by measuring the oblique length of the body, oblique length of the backside, have a large amount of body weight. The Hereford cattle exterior in terms of the main parameters of the exterior corresponds to animals of medium body type. To improve the exterior, it is necessary to select animals for stud purpose in accordance with the proposed parameters. Stud breeding with the Hereford breed must be aimed at increasing the performance strength, improving the milking capacity. The selection should be carried out for plenty of sizes, body fatness and improvement of meat qualities (leaner meat).

الروسية. Представлены данные по изучению экстерьера крупного рогатого скота герефордской породы в условиях Северного Зауралья. Промеры проводили в одном из хозяйств Тюменской обл. в 2018 г. Полученные результаты сравнивали с рекомендованными, изложенными в Методике проведения испытаний на отличимость, однородность и стабильность крупного рогатого скота. Выявлено хорошее развитие животных в высоту, но недостаточная растянутость туловища и слабое развитие грудной части туловища. Задняя часть туловища животного также развита недостаточно. Животные по сравнению с рекомендованными параметрами высоконогие, не достаточно растянутые, имеют не глубокую и не очень широкую грудь. Обхват груди также ниже рекомендованных параметров, недостаточно развит зад. В дальнейшем следует приобретать быков высокорослого типа с заданными экстерьерными параметрами. Это будет способствовать формированию стада с высокой продуктивностью, так как параметры экстерьера связаны с мясной продуктивностью животных. Подбирая животных желательного типа можно устранить выявленные недостатки у животных анализируемого стада. Чтобы провести сравнение показателей живой массы и промеров у животных разных внутрипородных типов, осуществили разбивку коров на 3 типа телосложения. Установлено, что по величине живой массы коров 1-й лактации наблюдаются различия между животными разных типов телосложения. Коровы, отнесенные к 1-му типу телосложения по промерам "косая длина туловища", "косая длина зада", имеют большую величину живой массы. Экстерьер крупного рогатого скота герефордской породы по основным параметрам экстерьера соответствует животным среднего типа телосложения. Для улучшения экстерьера в дальнейшем необходимо отбирать животных на племя в соответствии с предложенными нами параметрами. Племенная работа с герефордской породой должна быть направлена на повышение крепости конституции, улучшение молочности. Необходимо вести отбор на крупность, широкотелость и улучшенные мясных качества (более постное мясо).
