Domestic animals have a multifunctional role. In addition to the role of pets, the use of animals in sports competitions, for work, plowing and transport... animals are bred mainly for human consumption (milk, meat, eggs...). Secondary or by-products of domestic animals are: fur, leather, feathers, wool, horns, blood, fertilizers... which also have their own applications. Manure as an organic fertilizer is of great importance and is irreplaceable. Manure has excellent feed value, a positive effect on the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, and thus, the growth and development of plants. In addition to the most important animal by-product (fertilizer), the main products of animals, e.g. milk, whey, eggshells... can also be used in crop production and plant protection. These products can be applied as a preventive and regular protection of plants against pests and diseases, with some knowledge of their biological effects on plants and pathogens. It is very important to maintain a balance of plant and animal production, not only in organic production, but also in conventional production.
