Mensurational studies in Melocanna baccifera

Mensurational attributes of Melocanna bacciJera culms were studied from five different locations in the state of Mizoram, India. Attributes such as culm height, internode length, internode diameter, culm wall thickness and number of nodes per culm were measured. Regression models were developed for internode length, internode diameter, culm wall thickness, culm height and culm volume. Results were found to be significant.
