Based on the results obtained during bottom trawl surveys conducted in the northwestern part of the Okhotsk Sea in August-September 2000 and 2009, we present data on biology and ecology of cod in the Territorial Sea and out of its boundaries. On the basis of these materials a comprehensive characteristic of this species in the studied area is given
