African swine fever (ASF) is an infection disease of domestic and wild pigs. It is not a zoonosis, but it causes large economic losses, since there is no vaccine and possible therapy. Due to intensemovement of people and goods (including animals and food of animal origin), economic crisis, use of acontaminated hogwash as feed for pigs, ASF occurred in Africa, but it is also present in Europe from year2007. Since then ASF has been spreading through Europe and from year 2017 it is present in the regioncountries too (Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria). Because of that way territory of Republic of Serbia has beendivided in high, middle and low risk area for an importing of virus ASF.
