Combine harvester for field crops today represent a very complex machine not only for reasons of assemblies and subassemblies parts constructions, but because of the overall monitoring and automatic or manual setup work on the basis of input data. The losses are a result of several factors, some of which may be weather conditions, the state of the crop and the last but the most important is setting up combine. Total losses of the combine can reach high values up to over 20%. In this papaer is shown test of the 12 combines which are different in their characteristics. They had the same system of treshing, and straw walkers. Harvesting is characterized by very uneven yield. The presence of weeds was recorded in parts of the plot. Losses have exceeded 2.5%, while the treshing was satisfactory with John Dir (John Deere) harvesters. Combine Class (CLAAS) had losses less than 2%.
