With environmental requirements for the properties of automobile fuels become stricter along with the necessity to transitionto the use of alternative fuels of non-oil origin, the use of oxygenates is becoming more relevant. Out of oxygenates, organichydroxyl compounds and dialkyl esters are the most promising. The study explores in detail the additives of oxygenates togasoline and their use in spark-ignition engines, which is associated with high octane numbers of alcohols and esters. At thesame time, their use in diesel fuels has not been sufficiently studied. This article discusses the preparation of fuel-alcoholemulsions based on automotive diesel fuel and ethanol with an alcohol content of 3 to 10% vol., isopropanol was used as astabilizer. The study conducts an analysis of the effect of ethanol concentration on the physicochemical properties of the resultingethanol-fuel mixtures.
