Determination to bark beetle species on deciduous forest trees in Kasnak oak nature protection area (Isparta-Egi̇rdi̇r) and detecting of important species' flight periods

This study was conducted to determine bark beetle species and flight periods of important species in Kasnak Oak Nature Protection Area which is situated in Egirdir-Yukarıgokdere province between 2012-2014.For determining to bark beetle species, specimens were collected from specimens were taken from broken trees by snow or fallen trees and also ethanol baited red winged sticky traps and yellow aand White colour stickyb traps were used for determining of bark beetles, flight activities and their population densities. Visual traps were controlled weekly and also window traps were checked one time in a month and these checking continued to till period when adult catching ending.As a result, 12 Scolytinae species belonging to 4 different tribe were determined. These are; Hylesinus crenatus (Fabricius, 1787), H. varius Fabricius, 1775, Dryocoetes villosus (Fabricius 1792), Taphrorychus villifrons (Dufour, 1843), T. ramicola (Reitter, 1894), Scolytus intricatus (Ratzeburg, 1837), S. koenigi Schevyrew 1890, S. mali (Bechstein 1805), S. rugulosus (Müller, 1818), Anisandrus dispar (Fabricius, 1792), Trypodendron signatum (Fabricius 1787) and Xyleborinus saxesenii (Ratzeburg, 1837). Among these, Hylesinus crenatus (Fabricius, 1787), Dryocoetes villosus (Fabricius 1792), Scolytus mali (Bechstein 1805) and Trypodendron signatum (Fabricius 1787) were found in the Mediterranean region of Turkey firstly by this study.
