Soils of Bantanahalli (669 ha) micro-watershed in Jagalur taluk were studied for available nutrient status and mapped using GIS platform. Seventy six surface soil samples at 250m grid were collected from Bantanahalli micro-watershed and assessed for the available major and micro nutrient status. Study reveals that the majority of the area in the watershed is low in available nitrogen (399 ha) and available phosphorus (501 ha), where as available potassium content in study area is found to be medium and low covering 361 ha and 236 ha, respectively. In case of secondary nutrients, available sulphur is found to be medium covering 435 ha of micro-watershed. Among micronutrients zinc, manganese and copper are found to be sufficient in major part of watershed whereas iron and boron are found to be deficient covering 426 ha and 424 ha, respectively.
